Post Hurricane clean up 🌨

Hello family!!! I am glad to hear that y'all are doing well!! I loved hearing about Dallin's Family Home Evening on Earthquake preparedness!! I am glad to hear that we will all be safe if an earthquake comes. You all will have to fill me in, cause all I know now is Hurricane Safety. Well this week was quite a fun one!! Because of the lack of power, water, and sewage we ended up staying at President Clarks for almost an entire week!!! Isn't that crazy!! By the end they felt more like grand parents than our mission president!! Monday night we had family home evening with them and we ended up sharing family History stories!! We had to share a trait that we loved from our family. That was cool to think about! As I thought about it I had the interview with grandma come to mind, all of the examples of you guys, journals, and grandpa come to mind and it really is amazing to think of how all of these people showed just consistent...

Part 2

Alright, so I have time to write about all of the other things!! So this week I have been having a lot of cool spiritual experiences. This morning I was reading in 1 Nephi 1 about Lehi having a vision. I loved the way he described his reaction to the feelings of the spirit. "15 And after this manner was the language of my father in the praising of his God; for his soul did rejoice, and his whole heart was filled, because of the things which he had seen, yea, which the Lord had shown unto him." Definitely as we have been phased with the storms and all of the stress of others I have noticed the spirit do these same things for me. The first night in the mission home we had family scripture study and prayer. The spirit was so strong as we all learned from each other. I got to say the prayer and it really did feel as though we were connected to heaven. Later I had the same feeling singing "Be Still my Soul" for our Minnie devotional on Sunday and again hearing all of th...

I am excited to hear what the Lord does through you!! Also, where is Wendy going on her mission?? I haven't heard yet!! She was a super nice girl in Young Women's!! I am glad to hear that she is going on a mission!! She will do fantastic especially with the testimony she has. Well well well, where do I begin with this one!!! It has been a crazy one!! It started on Monday with a text from the Zone Leaders telling us to stock up with water and food!! Well let me tell you by Monday they were already almost out of water..... ooh no!!!! Tuesday, we had interviews where President basically gave us a run down of everything that was going on. The Zone Leaders even drew us a nice diagram of Irma and of corse JOSE!!! Hahaha, the rest of the week after that was HURRICANE PREP!!! I have never felt so much ...

🌊Hurricane Irma UPDATE!!! 🌊

Hi Mom and Dad, President gave us permission to write you a short email updating you on my location for the storm. Sister Beckstead and I evacuated Satellite this morning. We are staying at the mission home in Orlando with President and Sister Clark. We are here with 4 other companionships. We are completely safe :). We may not have power on Monday so we will email when we can. Sister Badal P.S. Don't respond to this email, president said so.

🌧🌩⛈

Hello WORld!!!! Well hello!! I hope you all know a category 5 hurricane is coming my way!!!! Now I hope Miss Irma knows that she needs to calm down just a bit cause no one should have two hurricanes while on their mission... I am sure, based on the storms we have been having, that Houston is having a rough time. I cant even imagine the damage that is happening. I pray that they can receive the help they need. This week was fantastic. On Monday we were able to go to the Merry Widows family home evening. I love spending time with them. They had a pot luck to say goodbye to me which I thought was so so sweet (even though I still have a while)!! We went to Sister Fergusons house which was beautiful!! She owns a flower nursery, so as you can imagine there were flowers and greenery everywhere!!! I loved it and could have stayed there all night long. Those women are such great examples to me!! They still have their challenges, but they are so faithful and do so much good for so many peop...

Hey y'all!!

Wow!!! I am so excited that Samuel was able to get his license!! That sounds like it is so fun having him drive everywhere!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Raquel!!! It is crazy that you are getting so old! I cant believe it!! I am amazed that they still had school during the eclipse, here school was canceled.  This week was a cool week!! We saw some really cute miracles!! My personal favorite was when we were finding in the neighborhood where Leonard and Jonah and all of them live. We were talking to someone and were actually in the middle of a prayer when Jonah yells from a across the playground and says "Hey Sister Bad!! I have a present for you!!" (Hahaha, yes he calls me Sister Bad). So we finished the prayer and headed over to him. Well his present was a giant cardboard box with a basketball in it!! So we started to shoot baskets into the cardboard box and let me tell you he missed every single basket imaginable. So we told him that we should say a prayer for help. So we folded our ar...
